Who We Are
By Any Means Basketball is a global basketball organization focused on innovating the approach to player development, education, and basketball culture.
Basketball is still a very young sport. Rather than recycling what has "worked" in the past, we take an innovative approach to understanding how players actually learn, how environments shape behavior, and how different cultures approach the game — then applying those insights in real gyms with real athletes across the world.
We work with players at all levels, from youth to the NBA, using a modern, research-backed approach that helps athletes become better decision-makers, more adaptable players, and more confident competitors.
How We Train
We take a different approach to training.
Our work is grounded in modern skill acquisition and motor learning science, including the constraints-led approach, but always filtered through the reality of the game.

Instead of isolating skills or teaching one “right” way to play, we design training environments that help players learn how to:
Train players to see passing lanes, defensive gaps, and game situations before they develop.
Design training environments that unlock individual expression and problem-solving on the court.
Use constraints-led training to develop decision-making under real game pressure and speed.
Build versatile players who can perform across different defenders, styles, and cultural contexts.
Drawing from basketball cultures worldwide to build a more complete and complete game.
Stress-test development through competitive, high-intensity environments that mirror real games.
Worldwide
By Any Means has always been built with a global mindset — learning from every basketball culture we encounter.
The Founder
Coleman first started By Any Means as a high schooler in 2015, simply trying to improve his own game. What began almost accidentally quickly grew into a larger mission to change the world.
Growing up in Washington, DC — one of the most competitive basketball areas in the world — Coleman was not a naturally gifted athlete and had to earn every opportunity through consistent work and attention to detail.
Countless hours of training, paired with deep research into how players improve, led him to fall in love with discovering new methods, applying them in real settings, and seeing real results. That curiosity quickly attracted other high-level local athletes.
After finishing his career as a champion at St. John's College High School, where he was the only non-Division I player, Coleman faced a clear choice: continue playing at the Division III level or step away to pursue his true calling — helping others become better basketball players and better people. He chose the latter.
He moved to Miami to work with the University of Miami basketball program, study exercise physiology, and build from scratch — coaching at high schools, traveling internationally, and sharing his ideas publicly.
